Paywhatyouwant.io is the world’s first completely pay what you want digital marketplace. People can shop for photography, music, podcasts digital art, ebooks and more – and choose what they pay for each of the products. We have created a great affiliate program so that you can profit both from introducing customers and from introducing digital creators themselves.
We like to be as generous as possible – from a sale on Paywhatyouwant.io, 80% goes to the creator, and of the remaining 20%, three quarters of this is reserved for our Affiliate Partners!
To join the Paywhatyouwant.io Affiliate Partner Program, just create an account and go to your affiliate area where you can get a link. You can give this link to either creators or customers and you will get a share of all the revenue.
How The Revenue Splits:
Vendor affiliates: if you introduce digital creators to the website (photographers, music artists etc), then you get 5% of all the revenue from what they sell (this is taken from Paywhatyouwant.io’s share so they still get 80% of everything they sell). If they also introduce their friends as creators, then you get 2.5% of everything they sell on Paywhatyouwant.io, and if they also introduce their friends then you get 2.5% of everything they sell. So the Affiliate Partner Program is three layers deep. This means you can get a substantial extra income from introducing people to Paywhatyouwant.io, especially if they introduce their friends, who introduce their friends!
Customer affiliates: if you put out your link and someone clicks through to our website and buys something, then you get 5% of the revenue.
We like to always give 80% to our creators, so three quarters of the remaining 20% is reserved for our affiliate partners!!

Pay what you want is a concept that has worked in many different areas; in 2007 the British band Radiohead released their album “In Rainbows” on a pay what you want basis and made more from this than the digital proceeds of all of their previous albums combined. Since then this concept has been used for video games, ebooks and other areas. There have been a series of studies at business schools showing that the pay what you want model is successful, allowing for more income for producers while allowing low income people to enjoy the same quality of products as the wealthy.
